The story of how we met...... Clint and I became aware of each other via the internet in mid 1999. Someone visited my web page and signed my guestbook, and I returned the visit and signed his. Clint happened to visit the same guy's page, and saw my post. He recognized me from some email forwards that were sent to him from a mutual friend, who will hereby be referred to as The Enemy. Clint emailed me to say hi. We exchanged a few emails and found out we had some mutual acquaintances. I kind of wondered who he was, but from the looks of Clint's webpage we had very different interests! Fast forward a year.... The Enemy and I were somewhat involved, but he neglected to tell me that he had a girlfriend. Being the genius he was, he had a trip to Texas planned and invited both me and the other woman to go with him. Days before the trip he confessed that the other girl was more than just a friend. I was going through a very difficult time, and I was already upset with him for bailing on our friendship, and this just took the cake! It gets better.... when they got back he had the nerve to include me on a mass email telling people to visit his page and check out the pics! I saw red.... and I hit 'reply ALL' and sent some smart-ass reply to everyone on the recipient list. Clint was on the list.... and he casually replied and asked if I remembered him. We exchanged a few emails, then graduated to ICQ conversations. At first I was a bit leery because he knew The Enemy, but it wasn't long before I knew Clint was on my side. On July 3, 2000 we met face to face for the first time. I kept him at a distance for a while and we just hung out as friends. We got revenge on The Enemy (heh heh!). And somewhere in between I realized I felt so comfortable and happy with him. I'll never forget the first time he kissed me.... it was so amazingly perfect. XOXOXOXOXOXOX |
